1
The Beginning of Fully Floating Cities

2590–2780

After 2590

human civilization

begins to move

not toward a technology

that “overcomes” gravity

but toward a civilization

that understands

the curvature of spacetime.

At first

there existed only

a gap of merely 0.7 mm

between buildings

and the ground.

But within that thin layer

humanity discovers

one important fact.

Gravity

is not

a pulling force

but

a bending of space.

The gravity

we learned long ago

was often explained

as if

an invisible string

were pulling everything

downward.

But

in modern physics

gravity

is not viewed

in that way.

Gravity

is not a force

but

the geometric curvature

of spacetime.

2
Heavy Objects Bend Space

There is

a simple example

that helps explain this.

Imagine

a large rubber sheet

stretched tightly.

Now imagine

placing

a heavy steel ball

on top of it.

The sheet

will bend downward

around the ball

forming

a curved depression.

If a small marble

is rolled

across that surface

the marble

moves

as if

it is being pulled

toward

the steel ball.

But in reality

there is no force

pulling the marble.

The marble

is simply

rolling

along

the curved surface.

3
Planets Bend the Surrounding Spacetime

The same phenomenon

occurs

in space.

A planet

such as Earth

possesses

enormous mass.

Because of this

the spacetime

around it

becomes

very slightly

curved.

The ground

on which we stand

is therefore

not truly

a perfectly flat space.

It is

a path

very subtly curved

toward

Earth’s center.

We are simply

walking

along

that curve.

The sensation

we call

“gravity”

is in fact

only

the natural path

of motion

on curved spacetime.

4
Even Light Follows That Curved Path

There is also

a phenomenon

that proves

this fact.

When starlight

passes near

a massive galaxy

the light itself

becomes

bent.

This phenomenon

is called

gravitational lensing.

Light

has no mass

yet

because it follows

the geometry

of curved spacetime

its path

becomes

curved.

This reveals

that gravity

is not merely

a force

but

a change

in the structure

of space itself.

5
If This Curvature Could Be Created Artificially

If this curvature

could be created artificially

and if this principle

were completely understood

and could be controlled

technologically

then interesting things

would become possible.

If some device

could regulate

the curvature

of spacetime

within a certain region

objects

would no longer follow

the curved path

that points

toward Earth.

In other words

instead of a path

descending

toward the ground

a path could be formed

that bends

to the side

or upward.

Then buildings

or urban structures

would not be

“overcoming” gravity

but would simply be

placed

upon a path

of another curvature.

At that moment

a city

for the first time

becomes a structure

floating in space

completely separated

from the ground.

6
A City Rising Toward the Sky

The first thing

that rose

was an experimental city

only a few meters

high.

The superconducting

gravity correction devices

beneath the buildings

shifted their phase

slightly

away from

Earth’s curvature.

So the structures

were no longer

resting

on the surface

of the ground

but began to be fixed

at another curvature

position

inside

Earth’s gravitational field.

At first

an altitude

of 2 meters.

Then

10 meters.

And soon

the entire city

begins

to rise slowly

above the forest.

But people

did not rise

in order to build

a city in the air.

The purpose

was to touch

Earth’s surface

and nature

as little

as possible.

7
A New City of the African Savanna

One of the places

where this technology

was used

most dramatically

was

the African savanna.

The savanna

of today

has become smaller

because of

human farms

and cities.

But in the age

of floating cities

cities

no longer occupy

the ground.

People’s homes

schools

and markets

float

30 meters

above the savanna.

Below

elephants move

giraffes eat

from trees

and zebras run.

The city

floats quietly

above them.

When night comes

a pride of lions

passes

beneath the city.

But the human city

and the wild world

almost never

invade

each other’s space.

8
Aerial Cities Above the Desert

In the Sahara Desert

floating cities

are used

for another reason.

The problem

of the desert

is not water

but heat

and the movement

of sand.

So the cities

float

50 meters

above the sand.

Beneath

the aerial city

a massive

air circulation system

operates.

It pulls

the hot air

of the desert

upward

and sends

cool air

toward the ground.

Little by little

the temperature structure

of the desert itself

begins

to change.

After several centuries

in some regions

of the desert

small forests

begin

to appear.

9
Floating Research Cities of the Arctic and Antarctic

In the Arctic

floating cities

play

another role.

Because

there is no need

to build structures

on top of the ice.

The city

floats

100 meters

above the glacier.

So even if

the glacier melts

or moves

the city

is not affected.

In the research city

of Svalbard

scientists

observe

in real time

the marine ecosystems

beneath the ice

and the changes

in the Arctic atmosphere.

The city

becomes

a massive

observation platform

watching

Earth’s environment.

10
Evolution of the Automobile

As cities begin to rise into the air

automobiles

no longer move

only on roads.

At first

magnetic levitation vehicles

moved

10 cm above the ground.

But as

gravity-compensation technology

developed

vehicles

begin to travel

through the air

between cities.

Personal mobility

takes a form

that combines

today’s automobile

and

the drone.

Small flight capsules

move between cities

like birds.

11
A New Relationship Between Animals and Humans

The greatest change

of the floating-city era

was not

technology

but

the relationship

between ecosystems

and humans.

If everything becomes the same

life quickly

loses its strength.

So I hope

that like the Earth today

infinite diversity

unfolds

across many dimensions

like one vast

spectrum

of light.

The green

of forests

the deep blue

of the sea

the red heat

of deserts

the transparent air

of the polar regions.

Hundreds of millions

of lives and environments

each emitting

different wavelengths

until the entire Earth

becomes

a single

living spectrum

vibrating

as a world.

12
The Planetary Network

And the humans

of the future

within that spectrum

may no longer be beings

who move

through it

with their bodies,

but beings

who traverse it

through the flow

of nerves

and information.

Already

the technologies

in that direction

are slowly

being born.

Planet-scale

sensor networks

installed

across the Earth.

The temperature

of the oceans

the humidity

of forests

the movement

of animals

the flow

of the atmosphere

even the vibration

of glaciers.

Billions of sensors

record

the changes

of the entire Earth

in real time.

And the human brain

through

AI interfaces

begins

to connect

directly

with that data.

The electrical signals

interpreted by the brain

and

the information flows

processed by computers

begin

more and more naturally

to translate

into each other.

As that happens

people

even without traveling

there physically

can sense

the air

of a forest

on the opposite side

of the Earth

the temperature

of the deep ocean

and even

the sound

of Arctic ice

breaking.

Almost

instantly.

It becomes

as if

the entire Earth

is connected

like one

vast

neural network.

13
The Expansion of Human Consciousness

At that moment

the human mind

is no longer

a signal

confined

inside the skull

but

a network

that moves freely

through the data

of the entire Earth

and

the flow

of ecosystems

expanding

as it passes.

And in that way

humanity

slowly

begins

to understand.

We

are beings

who were born

for a brief moment

in the universe

and who will

someday

return

as matter

that becomes

the bones

of stars.

But that path

does not end

suddenly.

It unfolds

within the long time

called

the history

of humanity.

Slowly

gradually

we join

the flow

of the universe.

14
A Vast Network of Consciousness

In the end

humans

are beings

who return

to star-dust

after death.

But the road

toward that

stellar grave

is not walked

only after death.

While still alive

a little longer

a little wider

connected

with the Earth

we are already

walking

that road

as a vast

network

of consciousness.

15
The Direction of Human Civilization

From this period

human civilization

is no longer

scattered points

across the Earth

but

a single network

covering

the entire planet.

Cities

in deserts

research stations

in the Arctic

aerial cities

above tropical forests

and

floating cities

upon the oceans

all become connected

as one system.

And all of this

operates

in a way

that interferes

as little as possible

with

Earth’s gravity

the atmosphere

the oceans

and

the ecosystems.

The direction

of human civilization

is slowly

changing.

After this era

the goal

of human technology

is no longer

faster

higher

or

larger.

It becomes

to exist

more lightly.

Not a civilization

that conquers

the Earth

but a civilization

that remains

upon the Earth

very lightly.

Like a bird

floating

on the wind.

We

are not beings

who live

inside gravity.

We

are beings

who flow

within curvature.
