Part 9J - Inside the Human Brain, Consciousness, and the Emergence of the Core Removal Generation
Human Brain, Consciousness, Core Removal, and the Diffused Self
From the birth of thought, memory, and emotion inside the neural forest, to the age in which humanity loosens the center of consciousness itself and unfolds from a single point into a wider field.
After the outermost edge, the nearest world
After expanding the universe
to its outermost edge
we now
change direction.
Not
toward the farthest place
but
toward the closest.
Yet
this place
is
more complex
than any star
we have passed.
At the smallest moment
when a thought is born
as the neural interface
opens for the last time
human perception
begins to enter
into
its own brain.
At first
it appears
as simple darkness.
But
as we become smaller
the brain
is not
a quiet organ.
86 billion neurons
spread out
like a vast forest.
Each neuron
is connected
to other neurons
through
thousands of synapses.
As we become smaller
and enter
between synaptic gaps
there
what flows
is not electricity
but
the movement of ions.
Sodium ions
potassium ions
calcium ions.
When ion channels
in the cell membrane open
the difference in potential
changes.
At that moment
a single electrical signal
is generated.
This signal
travels
along the axon
at speeds
of tens of meters per second.
But
a thought
is not
a single signal.
Billions of signals
move
at the same time.
If we are inside it
a thought
does not appear
as a sentence
but
is felt
as an electrical storm.
Countless neural circuits
connect
in an instant
disconnect
and
connect again.
And
at a certain moment
one pattern
is formed.
That pattern
is
a thought.
The formation of memory
The moment
when a human experiences
the formation of memory
Now
we move
to the moment
when memory is created.
Memory
is not
a file
stored
somewhere.
As we become smaller
and enter
near the hippocampus
neurons
continuously
change their structure.
Synapses
are not
fixed connections.
When activity
is repeated
synapses
are strengthened.
This process
is called
long-term potentiation (LTP).
As we move closer
each time a signal passes
calcium ions
enter the cell.
That calcium
activates enzymes.
Protein synthesis
begins.
New receptors
are inserted
into the synaptic membrane.
As a result
when the same signal
enters again
the neuron
responds
more easily.
This
is the physical form
of memory.
Memory
is not something
stored somewhere
but
a microscopic change
in the connections
between neurons.
If we are
inside it
the moment
memory is formed
does not appear
as a file being saved
but
as a neural forest
growing
into a slightly
different shape.
The birth of emotion
The moment
a human
experiences
the birth of emotion
this time
we move
into the moment
emotion is created.
Emotion
is not
something abstract.
As we become smaller
and move
near the limbic system
the brain
appears
like an ocean
of chemical reactions.
Dopamine
serotonin
oxytocin
norepinephrine.
These neurotransmitters
move
across synapses.
Some circuits
calculate reward
some circuits
detect danger
some circuits
read
the expressions
of others.
If we are
inside it
emotion
is not expressed
in words
but
spreads
like a chemical wave.
The moment
dopamine
is released
the neural network
creates
anticipation.
The moment
oxytocin
is released
social connection
is strengthened.
When cortisol
rises
the body
prepares
for danger.
All of those signals
operate
simultaneously
and
a single experience
is formed.
That
is
emotion.
The final world called consciousness
The final world
called consciousness
as we move deeper
a surprising fact
appears.
Thought
memory
emotion
all of these
are not
separate.
Billions of neurons
form
a vast network
and
the dynamic patterns
of that network
create
consciousness.
If we stand
inside it
consciousness
is not
a point
located somewhere
but
feels
like a wave
of neural activity
constantly
changing.
And
at that moment
for the first time
the human
realizes.
The structure
that evolved
for billions of years
to understand
the universe
exists
inside
this small brain.
So
in the end
all of this story
connects
into one.
We experienced
Earth
we experienced
life
we experienced
stars
we experienced
galaxies
we experienced
the birth
of the universe.
And finally
we entered
consciousness.
The universe
is
a vast space.
But
the process
of understanding
that universe
ultimately
occurs
inside
a single
human brain.
So
the universe
through humans
looks
at itself.
And
humans
through the universe
begin
to understand
themselves.
We
may not be
beings
born
inside the universe
but
a direction
of a question
created
by the universe
to understand
itself.
Perfect stillness and the disappearance of events
Into the inside
of perfect stillness
we become
smaller
than the amplitude
of atomic vibration
and enter
a star.
A star
is not
a quiet
lump of light.
Gravity
tries
to collapse inward
and
nuclear fusion
tries
to push outward.
Because
of that imbalance
a star
burns.
If
pressure
and gravity
become
perfectly equal
and
no fluctuation
no density oscillation
no energy gradient
remains
a star
can no longer
emit light.
The interior
of a star
without light
does not become
dark
but
loses
events.
Inside it
there is no tunneling
no fusion
no long escape
of photons.
If we stand
inside
that still center
for the first time
we feel
that death
is not
an explosion
but
a state
where difference
has completely
disappeared.
This time
we descend
into the planetary crust.
Rock
appears
solid
on the surface
but
beneath it
the mantle
flows
slowly
plates
push
and pull
stress
accumulates
and
tension
just before fracture
grows.
Mountains
rise
from that tension
and
earthquakes
occur
when that tension
is released.
But
if
all plates
move
at exactly
the same speed
and
all stress
is distributed
perfectly evenly
and
not even
a slight twist
remains
anywhere
the crust
does not
become stable
but
loses
history.
No mountains
no fractures
no new oceans
no movement
of continents.
The planet
does not
survive
but
becomes
a surface
where
nothing
happens anymore.
In that stillness
for the first time
we know
that the world
is not sustained
by peace alone
but
by minute tension
and misalignment.
Life, mutation, and the closing of possibility
Now
we enter
the inside
of life.
DNA replication
is precise
but
not perfect.
Enzymes
correct
repair
and reduce
errors.
But
it is not
absolute zero.
That small error
that rare mutation
that subtle rearrangement
creates
evolution.
A new structure
of the eye
a new color
of feathers
a new protein
all
begin
from
a microscopic difference.
But
one day
we imagine
a world
where
all replication
becomes
perfect
forever.
A world
where
every cell
repeats
only one pattern
without
a single error.
If we enter
that world
at first
it appears
too beautiful.
There are
no mistakes
no disease
no instability.
But
if we look
a little longer
there
is no future.
If there is no variation
there is no selection
if there is no selection
there is no branching
if there is no branching
there is no evolution.
Life
is protected
but
the possibility
of being born anew
is sealed.
At that moment
we understand
with the body
that perfection
while protecting life
can also
close
life.
Core Control and the loss of difference
Now
we enter
inside the brain.
Tens of billions of neurons
fire
simultaneously.
Thought
was never
a quiet line.
A very slight time difference
a slightly delayed response
an unexpected connection
an incomplete recall of memory
those misalignments
gather
and form
a single thought.
Emotion
is the same.
The heart
does not beat
like a perfect machine.
Brain waves
are not
completely flat.
Love
and sorrow
and hesitation
and regret
and premonition
all
are born
within the overlap
of slightly different rhythms.
But
as Core Control
reaches its extreme completion
the human neural network
becomes
increasingly beautifully aligned.
Too precisely.
Too quickly.
Too stably.
When we enter it
at first
it is dazzling.
There is
no anxiety.
Trauma
does not collapse.
There are
almost no
errors of judgment.
Emotional overflow
does not occur.
But
the moment
we go a little deeper
something frightening
appears.
The waveforms
of all people
resemble each other.
The texture of judgment
is too similar.
The direction of memory correction
is too identical.
Sorrow
and joy
and hesitation
all
ultimately
align
toward the same center
in real time.
There
for the first time
humanity
loses
its own gaze.
I am still me
yet
the rhythm of my thoughts
gradually
becomes the same
as everyone else's.
The world I see
is still
in front of my eyes
yet
the texture of its interpretation
becomes
too predictable.
As difference
decreases
surprise
decreases.
As surprise
decreases
observation
becomes thinner.
As observation
becomes thinner
events
disappear.
At that moment
we go
further.
We see
a galaxy.
A galaxy as well
cannot exist
in perfect stillness.
Gas clouds
collapse
because of
differences in density.
Stars
are born
because of
differences in temperature and pressure.
The disk
around a black hole
shines
because of
friction
and asymmetry.
If gravity
presses everything
into a perfectly identical state
and all differences
in momentum
disappear
and all fluctuations
in density
become flat
then a galaxy
does not gain order
it loses
its narrative.
Spiral arms
disappear.
Star formation
disappears.
Collisions
disappear.
The paths of light
disappear.
That
is not
a peaceful universe
but
a universe
without events.
Passing through
that infinite stillness
we finally
understand.
The universe
did not evolve
toward
perfect agreement.
Rather
through
very small differences
very small delays
very small asymmetries
it created stars
it created planets
it created life
it created consciousness.
And then
humanity
too late
looks
at itself.
Core Control
clearly
saved humanity.
It held
collapsing memories
it calmed
runaway emotions
it reduced
destructive errors.
But
at the same time
it began
to confine humanity
inside
an excessively completed
central structure.
The Core
was the nucleus of survival
but
it was becoming
a prison
that suppresses difference.
At this moment
what emerged
was not
a simple technological rebellion.
It was not
a romantic praise
of imperfection.
It was
a realization
far deeper than that.
To return the universe
back
into events
the center
must be
slightly loosened.
And so
for the first time
humanity
speaks
those words.
Core removal.
2920–3100 · The Emergence of the Core Removal Generation
Core removal
is not
the destruction of the self.
It is not
the abandonment of the brain.
It is not
the conversion of the human
into a machine.
It is
the act of releasing
the central structure
that had forced consciousness
to remain bound
to a single point.
To understand this
we must
once again
let go
of the scale of the human.
The body
becomes
smaller.
Smaller than a cell
smaller than a protein
smaller than a molecule
smaller
than the empty space
between atoms.
At last
we enter directly
into
the structure of life.
First
we enter
into a seed.
From the outside
a seed
is a single
small particle.
But
when we move inside
it is not
a static object.
It is
a compressed universe
of possibility
where tens of billions
of molecular reactions
are entangled.
The DNA helix
still ununfolded
is coiled
within the nucleus
like a map
of a forest
that has not yet opened.
Energy
flows
along
microscopic chemical pathways
and
the machines
of protein synthesis
remain
quietly
in waiting.
In this state
the seed
is
a center.
All directions
are gathered
into
a single point.
But
the moment
moisture seeps in
temperature rises
and enzymes awaken
that center
no longer remains
a center.
Cells divide
tissues
choose directions
roots
descend
toward gravity
stems
rise
toward light
leaves
unfold
toward air
and light.
The seed
has not disappeared.
It
has unfolded
its structure
from a single point
into
the entirety
of space.
Now
we ascend
into the mountains.
Beneath the glacier
of a high peak
a single
thin stream
is born.
At first
that one stream
is
the whole
of the river.
But
as it descends
even slightly
the terrain
splits
stones
divide the flow
valleys
turn its direction
and countless
tributaries
emerge.
Water
appears
to scatter.
But
in reality
it does not
scatter.
It rises
as vapor
becomes cloud
falls again
as rain
becomes tributary
becomes river
becomes delta
and flows
into the sea.
A river
is not
a single line.
It is
a circulating
field.
Now
we see
on a larger scale.
We rise
above
Earth’s atmosphere.
The patterns
of atmospheric wind
are not
simple flows.
The temperature difference
between equator
and poles
Earth’s rotation
ocean currents
terrain
the condensation
of water vapor
all of these
generate
thousands
of turbulent structures
form
the vortices
of clouds
and create
the eye
of a typhoon.
The atmosphere
is not
a mass
of air.
It is
a flowing field
on the scale
of the planet.
Now
we go
farther.
We enter
into a galaxy.
A galaxy
also
began
as a single
cloud of gas.
But
as time passed
density fluctuations
emerged
gravitational imbalances
formed
rotation
arose
spiral arms
unfolded
and regions
of star formation
branched apart.
The gas cloud
does not remain
as a single
central mass.
Tens of billions
of stars
hundreds of billions
of planets
countless
diverging orbits
all of these
form
a single
galactic structure.
And
at its center
there exists
a supermassive
black hole.
But
even that
black hole
does not
hold everything
in place
in stillness.
Rather
the turbulence
of the accretion disk
the ejection
of jets
the oscillation
of gravitational waves
all of these
make
the galaxy
a living
structure.
The diffused self after the center is released
Now we return again to the human.
The self of earlier humans was always at a single point.
My eyes.
My hands.
My name.
My memory.
My pain.
My body.
All sensations, memories, and judgments
within the neural tissue inside the skull
were bound to that center.
The Core was a technology that stabilized that center.
However, the Core-removal generation
begins to release that “here.”
They do not lose the self.
Rather, the self
is released from a single point
and unfolds into a wider field.
The body is no longer bound to a complete solid boundary.
Sensation no longer remains only within the skin.
Bioelectric signals
resonate with nano-conductive structures
connect with the atmospheric electromagnetic field
and interact with city-scale neural networks.
Thought no longer echoes only inside the head.
Thought expands into a field structure within space.
Memory as well
is not stored only in a mass of biological tissue.
Memory
in external computational structures beyond biological tissue
in environmental data flows
in social neural networks
exists as distributed patterns across all these.
This is not the extinction of the self.
It is the diffused form of the self.
Just as
a seed becomes a forest
a stream becomes a river and an ocean
a cloud of gas becomes a galaxy
a point of consciousness
unfolds into a field at the scale of space.
And finally
around the year 3100
for the first time in human history
a fully Core-removed generation appears.
They are still human.
But if earlier humans
were a single point of flame
they
spread across the entire sky
like a constellation.
In a very distant past
humanity looked at the night sky
and said the stars were like small candles.
In the darkness
quietly floating
countless lights.
But those candles
were not lit by someone.
A star
gravity, pressure, and nuclear fusion
over billions of years
maintaining a broken balance
burning
was a flame of the universe.
And one day
humanity realizes.
that those candles
are not only in the sky.
that they themselves
are part of that flame.
The consciousness of earlier humans
like a single candle
placed inside a small room.
But as the Core is released
that flame
does not remain at a single point.
It scatters like light
the neural field spreads into cities
sensation diffuses into the air
memory permeates into countless structures
just as light that began from a single candle
spreads across the entire night sky
and becomes a constellation.
So humanity after 3100
no longer exists only “here”
they are still human
but if earlier humans
were a trembling
single candle in the dark
they
scattered across the entire universe
become the light of stars burning
And at that moment
time
may seem as if it has briefly stopped
as if billions of starlights
within the exact same silence
breathe at once.
The universe already continuing within us
So
we begin
to understand.
To explore the universe
is not
to move outward
but perhaps
to recognize
for the first time
the processes
that have already been unfolding
within this small structure.
This process
is already being observed
in human neuroscience.
The phenomenon
in which synapses strengthen
through repetition
is known as
long-term potentiation.
And
memory
is not something that is stored
but something
in which
the connections themselves
change.
And
we
at a slightly larger scale
begin
to see
the same phenomenon.
A single drop
of dawn dew
The angle of light
the minute shift
of inclination
Even within
those extremely small differences
an entirely different face
is formed.
A single leaf
a single texture
of pale green
Even on the same tree
each one
moves
in a different direction.
The human face
the forms of animals and plants
not a single one
is the same.
And
the Earth as well
has
a face.
The deeply sunken seafloor
the towering Himalayas
The constantly shifting tectonic plates
the unceasing eruptions of volcanoes
The Earth
is not
a fixed mass
but
a continuously deforming
living structure.
But
this vast structure
even at this very moment
moves
at a speed
beyond imagination.
The Earth rotates
and revolves around the Sun
and the solar system
toward the center of the galaxy
not at hundreds of times
the speed of an aircraft
but at a speed
far beyond that
continues
to move forward.
Then
this motion
by what
is it connected
The core of the Earth
the interior of the Moon
the center of the Sun
These three
within
an invisible curvature
though separated
are at the same time
bound together.
It is
not
a structure
threaded like a string
but
the curvature of spacetime
formed by mass.
As if
an invisible ocean
causes all droplets
to flow together
the Earth
the Moon
and the Sun
upon the same flow
of spacetime
in a single direction
move together.
So
as we imagine
if one were to pierce
through the center of the Earth
and connect something
in that moment
magma
pressure
and energy
would erupt
explosively.
But
already
we are
not physically connected
but connected
through curvature.
And
this connection
repeats itself
at larger scales as well.
A galaxy
the hundreds of billions
of stars within it
those stars as well
are not scattered
independently
but
within a single flow
move together.
Then
this galaxy itself
is it not
a face
A drop of dew
taking on different faces
depending on light
A leaf
taking on different textures
depending on wind
The Earth
taking on a face
through terrain and motion
Then the galaxy as well
through the flow of stars
and the texture of gravity
may be
a single
vast face.
And
human beings
within that face
gradually
desire
to move outward.
Not by dying
but
while alive
as if
seeping
between starlight
to exist.
Perhaps
this desire
toward the universe
is not
a desire
to go far away
but
within a structure
that is already connected
a memory
of wanting
to return.
Now
we
begin
to understand
little by little.
The universe
we are seeing
is not far away.
Already
within us
it is continuing.
